| The 400/5.6 Tele-Kilar was produced from about 1952
to 1968. With the proper Kilfitt adapter, it could be fitted to
most popular 35 SLRs of the day. Lens code: "KIVIR"; it has 2 lens
elements forming a single achromat; 1 foot & 5 33/64 inches in length;
3 pounds & 14 ounces in weight. As with the vast majority of Kilfitt
lenses it had a pre-set diaphragm. Kling photo listed this particular
lens, in 1954, for $239.95 (List); the adapter for $12.00; and its
carrying case for $24.50. |
